Curtis and I became closer friends after we started Tyler Junior College. We were in the rodeo club together and attended some of the same classes. I remember him as a cut up and always in a good mood. After I left Tyler we lost touch. I'll always have good memories of the times we spent together!

Curtis,

He was an awesome boyfriend and the best friend anyone could have. I truly cared about him and will always think of how he used to smile...

Always,

Jena Barrett Judd

After Lee, I became friends with Curtis @ TJC. We both were active in Rodeo during those days and had plenty of fun rodeoing, hanging at the student u, lunch @ El Chico (the cheap lunch plates) and generally enjoying our youth. After I left Tyler, we got out of touch and it saddens me that, as it happens so often, we went our seperate ways. Curly Jack, I hope you are now enjoying the hereafter with our past rodeo heroes and those who are posted herein, Kroppduster.

Curtis was working in Decatur, Texas at the time of his death.  I believe he had cancer.  He was a salesman for Karl Klement Dodge in Decatur and died Feb. 16, 2007.  At one time, Curtis loved motorcycles and once had a Yamaha.  Curtis and I were riding on his motorcycle one day by the old Andy Woods Elementary school when he decided to do a "wheely".  We did one o,k. The next thing I remembered was that we were in the middle of Pollard Drive with me on the pavement, Curtis on top of me, and the Yamaha on top of both of us.  Luckily no cars were coming and neither of us were hurt.  We got up and rode off.  I don't think I've been on a motorcycle since.  We had some great times!!
