I first met Bruce many decades ago at Gary Elementary. All during Gary, Hogg, REL years, Bruce sat directly behind me in many classes due to our last names/alphabetical order seating. He was always kind, interested in his classmates, & was truly a dependable friend. Since renewing our friendship years ago after he moved to Florida & computers were available, Bruce stayed in touch regularly both via email & written notes, cards. He was an unusual, intelligent, sweet man who always thought more of others than himself & who always saw the positive, best in the rest of us. Bruce will be missed. I am thankful that he is free of pain & reunited with his beloved parents.
Carla is irreplaceable. She was a treasured friend & will forever be missed. Too many good memories & laughs to even start listing.
For Mike & anyone else who might wish to see her obituary:
Cook-Walden Funeral Home; Austin, TX
Obit is listed under Carla Jan Valadez

Susan, I am also glad we had that time with Sharon at your farm. She was a great addition to our mini-girlfriends' reunion. I have fond memories of her from Hogg and Robert E. Lee. She left way too soon. Her comment about Mimi dying too early became sadly ironic. Sharon will be missed!
