Walker Paine was one of the kindest men to walk this earth.  He was a dedicated family man and worked hard his whole life.  As an unsung hero of the offensive line, Walker worked hard and didn't expect recognition.  He was the perfect teammate and had no "I" in team.  Walker battled health problems most of his adult life, but you would never know it.  He was not a complainer and never asked "why me."  He exemplified the salt of the earth that he was. I am certainly better for having Walker in my life, and I know many that share similar feelings.   There is no doubt where Walker Paine is today, and he's looking fondly on the class of REL 1970.

I don't think I ever saw Walker when he wasn't smiling! He had a heart and smile that filled up a room. I feel privileged to have called him a friend. And I agree with Phil about where he is now and what he is doing! Those were beautiful words Phil about a really sweet guy!
